About Us
Back in 2023, after more than a decade in the home improvement industry, Joshua noticed a common problem: homeowners were often sold individual products instead of real solutions. Gutters, roofing, drainage, soffit, fascia, and even entry doors were treated as separate projects, when in reality, they all play a role in protecting a home from water intrusion and the damage it can cause.
That realization led to the creation of Guardian Gutters, built around one simple belief: water management matters.
Today, we do far more than install gutters. We look at your home as a complete water management system. From the roof that sheds water, to the gutters and downspouts that collect it, to underground drainage systems that carry it safely away from your foundation, every component works together to protect your home. We also install soffit, fascia, trim, and entry doors because we understand that keeping water and the elements outside is critical to preserving your home’s comfort, efficiency, and value.
We chose the name “Guardian” because that’s exactly what these systems should be—a quiet protector of everything and everyone inside. When designed and installed correctly, they help prevent foundation issues, wood rot, mold, leaks, erosion, and costly repairs before they start.
After spending two years building the company on his own, Joshua welcomed his wife, Gina, to the business. Leaving her career in healthcare was a difficult decision, but it allowed them to build something meaningful together. Gina’s background in clinical care continues to shape how we serve our customers—with active listening, attention to detail, education, and a genuine desire to help people make informed decisions about their homes.
Today, Guardian Gutters is a family-owned company based in Edgewater, proudly serving homeowners throughout Maryland and Washington, DC. Whether we’re installing a new roof, replacing gutters, improving drainage, upgrading an entry door, or solving a complex water problem, our mission remains the same: to protect homes through thoughtful, long-lasting water management solutions.

Joshua (gutters) and Mike (hardscape) did a great job on our gutters and hardscape project. We replaced our undersized gutters on the front of our house over the front entryway and added an additional downspout which had a drain that routed under our paver sidewalk. The Guardian Gutter teams did a wonderful job with the gutters/downspouts and you cannot tell where they removed pavers for excavation. Sidewalk looks completely undisturbed! They completely rebuilt the top paver stoop to correct dangerous slope and drainage issues and it looks brand new! Would highly recommend Guardian Gutter for your gutter/hardscape projects!

When we got two very different estimates; we knew we needed a third estimate. We contacted Guardian Gutters on Monday, we had a quote from them on Tuesday, and gutter covers added to our current gutters on Friday. Josh gave us a thorough education on gutter covers and a fair quote. Fair price, great service and no more clogged gutters!

We worked with Josh Hahn at Guardian Gutters, and he was fantastic from start to finish. He provided multiple estimates and showed real flexibility and patience in helping us find the right solution and cost for our home. Josh and his crew were professional, efficient, and did a great job cleaning up when the job was done.
Our main issue was that the old gutters didn’t properly redirect water, which caused erosion and washout along the ground. The new gutters not only look great but handled the first big rain perfectly — no overflow at all.

After multiple searches for a door replacement service we came across Josh from Guardian Gutters. He came out for his initial appointment to get us a quote for what we needed. My husband and he went over everything and the time line. He was not pushy or insisted in my presence while quoting up. Once we agreed with the quote he was patient with our busy schedule. Once the deposit was paid he had someone come out to get a final measurement and we were told the doors will be available between 6-8 weeks. By week 5 we got a call that the door were ready and to sent up an appointment. Our French door turned sliding door and our kitchen door were replaced same day with no down time. There was constant and full communication with Josh and the booking person. Overall we are very pleased with the outcome of our door and will definitely be using them again in future door upgrades. Very professional and friendly customer service. Don’t mind our curtains we haven’t upgraded them yet. Also more light come in and no more critters crawling in

I was very pleased with this company from beginning to end. Josh was very knowledgeable about what needed to be addressed for my home. He took time to explain and inform. I received the quote very quickly and the appointment was also set quit fast. His crew did a great job all around and cleaned up as well. Everything looked great. Working with Guardian Gutters was a really great experience.
We have wood siding on our house, so carpenter bees was a concern. They were able to work and coordinate with a bug company so the bug company would be able to treat under the gutters before capping them to protect that area from future bees.
Before choosing Guardian Gutters, I did price compare. Despite the fact that they were using larger gutters and downspouts, they STILL came in cheaper by a few dollars. The other companies did have options for guards that were less expensive, but those less expensive ones also aren't as good.
This was also the only company that talked about and noticed where some of our gutters weren't doing a good job of getting water away from the house (it was basically just dumping straight down to our foundation). They talked to me about how we could redirect the water to help protect our house.
The other companies also made assumptions about about what color gutters I wanted where as Guardian Gutters made sure I saw and liked the color.
Joshua was also just a really nice guy. Very easy to talk to and work with. He made sure to communicate well and answered my questions when I had them.

I had a split in my gutter, just pouring water out during these heavy rains. I put in a request for gutter replacement last Monday, Joshua came out and looked over my needs. We came to a very reasonable price for new gutters, gutter guards, and downspouts. His Team was out the following Monday, and were completely finished in only a couple of hours. It looks fantastic. We had gutters that leaked on every corner. It felt like more water came out of the cracks than went down the spout, causing all of our mulch to wash away and the ground to erode all around the house. Guardian Gutters came in, replaced the leaky originals with larger gutters, and were able to match the color to fit the house perfectly. They even tied all the down spouts in to our current drainage system. No more leaks, and no more erosion! We couldn’t be happier with the final product!

I am thoroughly satisfied with the finished project. I have found reputable contractors with competitive pricing after reading reviews about their workmanship posted on next door app.
